What's a possession that makes your life easier?
Going with the first 7 that come to mind.
1. The Pampered Chef Mix n' Chop tool... my fav PC purchase! Very handy for breaking up ground beef, ground turkey, or ground chicken breast for my taco soup, Pioneer Woman Chili, etc. (I made taco soup tonight.)
2. Julia (a therapist I observed at Restore) told me about the Therapist Aid website, a gem with lots of free printable worksheets, ideas, and helpful prompts for therapists, organized by subject based on the client's presenting problem. A great resource, and I'm so thankful to know about it. Not exactly a possession, but I have printed a few things off and used them to spark discussion in sessions, so I'm counting it.
3. Mom got me these Zap remote outlet plugs back in the day at 522, and they definitely qualify as a possession that makes my life easier. I love that I can sit in my comfy recliner and turn various lamps, garlands, and Christmas trees on and off with the remote. =) And yes, I mean Christmas trees, plural - yay for the white tree making a comeback this year!
4. The Wet Brush, highly recommended by Rachel Shingleton around a decade back on her blog, and now widely available in most stores, this is the very best hairbrush around for pain-free detangling -- it truly makes a huge difference! It is all I use and the only brand I will buy now (although I'm sure other companies are copying it). I have a pink one at work, a mini turquoise one in my car, and a Gryffindor one at home. lol
5. This gem of an exercise bike (still under $200 HERE)... got mine in February of 2020, easily put it together myself, and it's still going strong over 600 rides later... if you don't care about it being an official spin bike, then I highly recommend this paired with the Peloton app!
6. Narrowing what once would have required so many separate devices down to one addictive, pocket-sized purchase -- no possession does more to make our lives easier than the iPhone -- thanks, Steve Jobs!
7. I wasn't consciously aware of it until I got about 40 ads in a row this summer and felt inclined to click on all of them, but I'm a big fan of sunglasses... Blenders, Diff, Betsey Johnson, Dan Levy Eyewear topping the list lately. =) And since they free me from worrying about my Bells Palsy eye being squinty, they qualify as a purchase that makes my life easier. lol
That's all for now. Happy Thursday, and hooray for being off work tomorrow!!
❤
