This week, I am posting what I call my "Power Thoughts" for each day. I recorded videos of me reading them out loud (around 3-4 minutes per day), and I've been listening to them every morning as I get ready for work as a part of my morning routine. My hope is that it will engrain these truths more and more firmly in my mind, reprogramming my thinking to be more aligned with God! (The first and last paragraph are the same every day, and the rest of it is unique for that day.)
FRIDAY
Jesus, You are Lord. I belong to You, and I belong with You. I love and trust You with all my heart. Today is the day You have made. I will rejoice and be glad in it!! I give everyone and everything that’s on my heart today to YOU, Lord!
I am a woman of God, redeemed by Jesus Christ. Loved, pursued, and chosen; equipped with words of life! Clothed in strength and dignity, commissioned here and now. Gifted by the Spirit, forgiven and unbound!
We will all stand before God’s judgment seat. Every knee will bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord. Each of us must give an account of ourselves to God, so I will stop passing judgment on anyone else. I have made up my mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of my brothers and sisters in Christ!
Lord, You are the Healer of my heart and mind. You are the Healer of all brokenness in my life and throughout the world. I entrust every detail to You, with faith and confidence that You are a God of restoration who makes all things new!
I am securely attached and wholehearted in my relationships. I respect the autonomy of others, and I understand that their decisions are rarely about me. I feel worthy and safe enough to be vulnerable in my conversations. I am empowered to speak up and set clear boundaries with people as things arise in the moment. I am secure in Christ, radiant with God-given strength and compassion.
I am proud to follow Jesus and share His gospel message. I speak the truth in love with boldness, clarity, and passion! Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God. You died on the cross to rescue me from sin and death and restore me to the Father. I turn from sin, self-centeredness, and every part of my life that does not please You. I give myself to You and receive Your forgiveness. Come reign in my heart and fill me with Your love! I trust that You are always with me, even to the end of the age.
Jesus, I ask that You would break every limit I’ve placed on who You can be, what You can do, and how You can do it. I am rooted and established in Your love, Lord! You see me and care about me. I am Yours, and I am worthy of love and belonging.
Holy Spirit, You are my counselor, comforter, strength, and guide. Bring my life into alignment with the environment that is right for my soul. Lead me to grow in authority and Godly stewardship over everything You have given me.
Lord, remind me to think before I speak, not making
any rash promises to You.
You are in heaven and I am on earth, so I’ll let my words be few.
The very best things I experience here on earth are partial and incomplete, so I look forward with hope to the coming Kingdom of Christ…
May Your Kingdom come, Lord. May Your will be done here on earth as it is in heaven. Surely Your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the LORD forever. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
