Transforming Truth - Wednesday

This week, I am posting what I call my "Power Thoughts" for each day.  I recorded videos of me reading them out loud (around 3-4 minutes per day), and I've been listening to them every morning as I get ready for work as a part of my morning routine.  My hope is that it will engrain these truths more and more firmly in my mind, reprogramming my thinking to be more aligned with God! (The first and last paragraph are the same every day, and the rest of it is unique for that day.)

WEDNESDAY

Jesus, You are Lord.  I belong to You, and I belong with You.  I love and trust You with all my heart.  Today is the day You have made.  I will rejoice and be glad in it!!  I give everyone and everything that’s on my heart today to YOU, Lord!

I receive Your forgiveness today, Lord.  I receive Your love, Your joy, Your peace, Your kindness.  I receive the wisdom I need today, Jesus.  And I receive Your hope!

I am learning and growing every day!  I work diligently, making the most of all my time.  I am a responsible person who rises to every responsibility in Jesus.  I am assertive, taking action and dealing with things in my life quickly.  I walk in wisdom financially, and I am generous with my time, energy, and resources!

When I am afraid, I put my trust in You, Lord.  I will not be dismayed, for You are my God.  You strengthen me and help me.  You uphold me with Your righteous right hand!  You are a shield around me, Lord.  My heart is not troubled or afraid because Jesus has given me divine peace.  I am strong and courageous, and I do not walk in fear.  I can do whatever I need to do through Christ who gives me strength.

A gentle tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit. 

I have a teachable spirit.  I humble myself, and God exalts me at the proper time.  I believe God’s promise that we reap what we sow, and I will not grow weary in doing good.  I keep my promises even when it hurts.  I do what I say I will do.  I get where I am going on time.  I focus on one thing at a time and do it well.  I have faith that God exists, and He is a rewarder of those who seek Him!!

The Lord is using me to draw others closer to Him.  I am anointed by God to live out my calling as a mother, a Christian counselor, and an author, writing books that will change the world.  My life and my words are powerful because of my connection with Jesus.  I will leave a lasting legacy that changes the lives of others because of my connection with Jesus.  I can do nothing apart from Him!

Father, breathe life into my relationships and give me Your heart for each person.

I receive their love for me today with grace for their humanity and imperfections.  My mind is at peace, seeking only God’s approval.  I understand that what others say and do is a projection of their reality and has nothing to do with me personally. 

My eyes light up when I see the people I love!  I ask questions and truly care about their lives, and they know and believe that I love them.  I am consistently encouraging, patient, kind, and loyal.  I think before I speak, and my words edify and build up.  I love Jesus and all people, and I am loved by Jesus and all people.  And as far as it depends on me, I will live at peace with everyone, including myself.

May Your Kingdom come, Lord.  May Your will be done here on earth as it is in heaven.  Surely Your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the LORD forever.  In Jesus’ name, Amen!
