Transforming Truth - Tuesday

This week, I am posting what I call my "Power Thoughts" for each day.  I recorded videos of me reading them out loud (around 3-4 minutes per day), and I've been listening to them every morning as I get ready for work as a part of my morning routine.  My hope is that it will engrain these truths more and more firmly in my mind, reprogramming my thinking to be more aligned with God! (The first and last paragraph are the same every day, and the rest of it is unique for that day.)

TUESDAY

Jesus, You are Lord.  I belong to You, and I belong with You.  I love and trust You with all my heart.  Today is the day You have made.  I will rejoice and be glad in it!!  I give everyone and everything that’s on my heart today to YOU, Lord!

May my life honor and glorify You, Jesus!  Strengthen me to walk in genuine love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. 

Help me to speak with kindness and to love sincerely, not only in words but in deeds.  Guide me to walk closely with You and keep a repentant heart and a clean conscience.  I consecrate my life to You, Jesus.  And I ask for the River of Life to flow in me and through me, bringing restoration, renewal, and healing!

I pursue peace with God, peace with myself, and peace with others. As far as it depends on me, I always live at peace with everyone.  I am slow to speak, quick to listen, and slow to anger.  I am careful to honor others with my words, whether with them or apart from them, treating them with love and respect.  The tongue has the power of life and death, so I will speak and write words of life and hope. The law of kindness is on my tongue.  Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in Thy sight, O Lord, my Strength and my Redeemer.

I am creative and confident because the Holy Spirit lives in me.  I have a unique and important role.  I am alive today because God desires it that way, and He has a specific purpose for me.  I live with excellence and integrity, and I prosper in everything I put my hand to.  I am blessed to be a blessing to others.  I am blessed with health and growth in all areas of my life – spiritually, mentally, relationally, and financially.

I take my thoughts captive to the obedience of Jesus Christ, casting down everything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God.  I look to the Lord, and confident in Him, I keep watch.  I wait with hope and expectancy for the God of my salvation; my God always hears me!  Do not gloat over me, my enemy.  Each time I fall, I will rise.  And even when I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light!

I am a believer, full of faith and hope!  I study and meditate on the Word of God.  I am alert and full of energy, and as I study and spend time with God, I become more alert and more energized.  I thank God in everything, and I choose not to be negative or quench the work of the Holy Spirit by complaining.  I hear from God.  I am led and guided by the Holy Spirit.  I know my Father’s voice, and the voice of a stranger, I will not follow.  I pray and I obey God, in the small things and the big things. 

God’s love surrounds me like a shield, guarding my heart and my mind.  I praise You for being a God of abundance, always doing more than I could ask or think. 

May Your Kingdom come, Lord.  May Your will be done here on earth as it is in heaven.  Surely Your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the LORD forever.  In Jesus’ name, Amen!
