Celebrating Dad (Photo Friday)!

Lots of fun events this week celebrating Dad... Tuesday (August 1st) was his 40-year anniversary of working for State Farm, then Thursday (the 3rd) was his 70th birthday!!

We made photo collages and came up to decorate after church on Sunday. =)

The "Jake from State Farm" poster makes me happy, as does Dad's decision to put him behind this window with the "Cheers to 40 years" banner! =)

Rach brought colorful poppers for a fun photo op... their timing was a little off, but still fun pictures!  Most of the powder ended up on Jace, which made me laugh!

My workday did not go as expected, but God was behind the timing, as usual!  I came later than I had planned, but that allowed me to see and catch up with the Whitakers, the Lemieux fam, the Smiths, the Loves, Alan, and the Parrishes!  Here's Bill and Jill with Mom and Dad!

On Wednesday, Dad and Bill took the kids to Riversport Rapids in OKC... Jill snapped the following photos with her professional camera, and I love being able to see their expressions up close!

They had a blast and their boat didn't capsize, so it was a great success! lol

The guys (Bill L, Rick M, and Bill W) took Dad to dinner at Mickey Mantle's Wednesday night, then they all played golf and had lunch together on Thursday morning... I'm super thankful for their decades of friendship, and fully expecting the same track record with my favorite Tulsa friend group when we're in our 60s and 70s!

I'm grateful for these milestones and for the life and legacy Dad has built, and I'm thankful he had such a great week where he was well-celebrated and loved! ❤
