All of my life, in every season,
You are still God. I have a reason to sing.
I have a reason to worship!
So I will bring praise. I will bring praise.
No weapon formed against me shall remain.
I will rejoice! I will declare:
God is my victory, and He is here!
~Desert Song, Hillsong
Today, I am thankful that God is faithful in every season. Listening to the lifegroup testimonies, thinking about my own history, and talking with Jenna last night about both our stories, it's so obvious that God is there and working behind the scenes even when we don't see it, even when we're far from Him and our motives are off. Beth Moore says that the only time God works against you is when you are doing something that is ultimately self-destructive. His purpose is not always obvious to us, especially in the midst of our pain, but we can trust that He knows what He is doing. He is sovereign and He is faithful. He is with us and for us... and working in us and through us to transform us and draw others to Christ!

I have won and I have lost.
I got it right sometimes but sometimes I did not.
Life's been a journey. I've seen joy; I've seen regret.
Oh, and You have been my God through all of it.
