God's Sovereignty!

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow
Because He lives, all fear is gone.
Because I know He holds the future

And life is worth the living just because He lives.
~Because He Lives

Today I am thankful for God's sovereignty and power. That even when earthly nations and kingdoms fall (by being conquered or gradually destroying themselves from within), His kingdom is still advancing! And He is loving and He is just. And He always sees His people in the middle of the corruption, and He knows our hearts. And we don't have to give in to Satan's attempts to pull our hearts toward fear, anxiety, and anger. Our thoughts and decisions can be framed by peace and security in Christ!

I am deeply thankful for those who fought for our freedom. And to the founders whose Godly character and faith shaped our nation for the better. I am saddened by how far we have fallen, but thankful to see the same pattern over and over in the Bible --- love and seek God... thrive and prosper... forget God... fall into corruption... face destruction... repent and cry out to God... and God forgives and restores them.  I am thankful to live in a free nation, and that freedom is all I have ever known. I am thankful for the right and privilege and honor to vote, and thankful that it is a choice not a forced duty. I am thankful for the freedom of speech to respectfully voice my opinion. And I am very thankful that my faith and security and hope are in God and not any person or nation. (And I am thankful that no matter which corrupt leader is elected today, God will still be on the throne and He is capable of working through righteous and unrighteous leaders alike to establish His plans!)

*I voted early this year and stood in line for an hour-and-a-half, but it seems like all the lines are shorter today, so kudos to those who waited. lol

Oh, I've seen many searching for answers far and wide,
But I know we're all searching for answers only You provide
'Cause You know just what we need before we say a word!
You're a good, good Father. It's who You are...
And I'm loved by You!
