Day 16 - Mainstream

Today = My views on mainstream music.

This prompt was just strange to me. ?? I don't have any strong views about this one way or the other.  I'm not someone who deliberately avoids popular things in an effort to seem unique, and I'm not someone who flocks to them in an effort to be cool.  I like what I like.  Some of the popular mainstream music is great; some of it sucks.  Everyone has different tastes and different reasons that something speaks to them, and I like that we're all different on that.  I listen to my iTunes music, podcasts, and audiobooks... so I tend to be two to three years behind the times on catching up with what was once "mainstream" and popular, but once I hear a song enough in movies or shows to want to download it, I can play that song on repeat for quite a while without getting tired of it... and I never care that its popularity died out a while back. lol

In other, far more important news... Babah is having shoulder surgery this afternoon.  She broke her shoulder two weeks ago (on the right side, which is her dominant hand), and it shifted and is not healing properly, so now surgery is necessary.  I am about to leave work to drive to OKC and sit with Mom during the surgery.  This has been a hard season, and even though Grandad and Babah are both fighters, it's a lot right now.  *Prayers appreciated for Babah, for Grandad, for Mom, for the rest of the fam, for healing and peace, and for a smooth transition to Bradford Village for Babah if at all possible.
