CHRISTMAS MEMORIES 2012
That was Jace Michael's first Christmas with us... so we did a little photo-session with him in a Santa hat playing with Christmas lights to commemorate the occasion! lol
Our Diving Deeper group also sang Christmas carols at Aberdeen Heights that year, and Blake played the saxophone. What I remember most about that night is that one of the residents whose memory was fading requested that we sing the song we had *just finished* singing, and we considered it for a second, then just started it right back up again! =)
Karli hosted a fun girls night at Chet's house (pre-marriage) where we watched White Christmas, decorated sugar cookies, and of course, took cute pictures! =)
For whatever reason, I can't find any un-collaged pics from our family Christmas Eve at the Parrish home that year, but this works! That was the night the boys got some big boxing gloves and had fun playing with them!
Rachael and I decided it'd be fun to switch home decor colors that year, so it was my first time decorating with red, green, and gold! Mom wrapped my canvas painting in happy Christmas wrapping paper, which is what's behind me and Laura in the picture below... (OSU game day, Laura's first college football game, a fun time with Dad's suite tickets!)
Tiny Carter Lee had been in the hospital for a while that winter with a condition called HSP, so we were very happy to have him back home happy and healthy again for Christmas!
Jace was a curious and cuddly 10-month-old baby, and that pic of him looking up at me after crawling into the box to grab his toy is still one of my favorites! Who doesn't love a Jace-in-the-Box!? ;-) ❤
A fun girls night at Chuy's to celebrate Laura's birthday! Plus her curled up on the couch after one of our colder Crescent Park walk/jog nights (where one of the homes with a large outdoor nativity had put up a sign offering a cash reward for the return of baby Jesus - lol)!
To my memory, that was the year Rach started making the deco-mesh wreaths and ornament wreaths... I need to order a new one in my other colors now that mine broke this year). Anyway, here are a few pics of the wreaths she made me + our glittery red Pottery Barn candles that have been with us since the days of 9121! ❤
*Oh, and speaking of Red, that was also the year T-Swift released the original Red album (she released the new "Taylor's Version" copy last month). Just a fun fact for any of you Swifties out there! lol
Okay, that's all I've got for today. Happy Thursday!
