2017 ~ The 12 Days of Christmas!!

CHRISTMAS MEMORIES 2017

This was the year Triston and I started emailing back and forth a little... they go to their Mom's house at the end of Christmas Eve and spend Christmas morning with her.  That morning, he sent me a message saying "Hope you're having a fun breakfast without us" with a bunch of sad face emojis.  So we took this family breakfast pic for me to send back to him!! ❤

When your friends have adorable kids, you mostly see them dressed up and on good "company" behavior.  So part of what I love about being an aunt is getting to just hang out with them in our pajamas when they're even more carefree and silly and uninhibited! ❤  Also, I very much enjoyed this phase when Jace did this prayer hands or sleeping pose thing in lots of his pictures! lol

The biggest Christmas gift that year was Carter's new hoverboard, a big hit with all the kids (and a preview of what they all got in 2018)...  Mom and I took Christmas card pics for the Parrish fam again, this time at the Myriad Botanical Gardens area in OKC...  A cute pic of Mamaw and "Bampa" with J&K at the CHA Christmas program (that was T's 4th grade year, so he was in the play)... Mamaw with all the grandkids in their Christmas sweaters... and a pic that still cracks me up of an over-excited Jaceman all bundled up and trying to make a snow angel in the very tiniest dusting of snow! lol

Christmas dinner at Main Street Tavern in Broken Arrow with the Women's Diving Deeper LG... our last official "Friday Night Dinner" of 2017 at Andolini's in Tulsa Hills (Kyle bought for all of us, so thanks, Kyle!)... Elizabeth and I sharing a Pizookie Trio dessert at BJs... and celebrating Kyle's birthday that year at X-Treme Racing!  =)

The beginning of my time with Ruby Claire!  ...Laura's birthday celebration included a song from Judge Hammers and one of our DAs who shall not be named... then me and Chet at FBC celebrating 10 years of friendship, one year early!! lolol

Jaceman standing on the stool to help Mamaw bake the chocolate cake for Christmas! ❤

I came to watch Michael's sermon, then I was invited to join their family lunch at Teresa's that day... I said something about feeling bad about intruding on their family time, and Chet and Teresa talked about how I was basically family to them, so this is such a good memory for me! =)

Fun Christmas Eve snapshots... dinner that year was at Pelican's (surprise!!), followed by gifts at the Parrish home.  Miss K got a new bike... the kids all got some cash from JoBug... Mom made her jello pie... Jace and JB sang "Happy Birthday" to Jesus... and this was the year of the infamous but hilariously memorable pentagram sweater Rach accidentally bought for Josh!

Family Group pic 2017... *that glittery Merry Christmas sign behind us is now in my living room!!

Our classic annual pic of the grandkids with Babah and Grandad (they gave us each $100 that year, and Emily jokingly commented, "Wellll, it's not 10,000, but I guess it'll do." lol)  Mom and Jace chatting over biscuits and gravy Christmas morning... Jace Michael said a memorable pre-breakfast prayer for us that day:  "Dear God, thank You for all our presents!  And tell Jesus that I said Happy Birthday!!  Amen." lolol  Then it's me and the mini Miss K (who had requested to sit by me) during our Christmas Eve dinner at Pelican's.

2017 was a pretty good year, to the best of my memory... the year of our long-awaited Niagara and NYC trip, the year of MoviePass for me, and The Greatest Showman was released that December (7 times in theaters - yes, please)!  Rach threw a birthday party for Jesus with Jace's class that year, and the idea of literally singing Happy Birthday to Him and getting Him a celebratory cake made me very happy, and I'm guessing it all makes Jesus happy, too!

The adorable "Happy Birthday, Jesus" party is top left... Miss K wanted a few pics with me because "we match red" on the top right ❤... and a cute family dinner pic at the Parrishes on the bottom (Babah had a stroke that morning late November, but they caught it very early and were able to stop any major negative effects, thank God).

I guess that's it for today.  Hope you're doing well and enjoying your Tuesday!
And I'll see you again tomorrow! ❤
