2014 ~ The 12 Days of Christmas!!

"On the fifth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me...." ;-)

CHRISTMAS MEMORIES 2014

We celebrated Christmas Eve at the Parrish home again.  Mom and I talked about it and decided to bring our good cameras and make a real effort to get some candids and group pics and family pictures that year... which we've done every year since, and I'm thankful for it!!  Here's our family group shot from Christmas Eve 2014, in front of the red swirl wall, which makes an appropriately festive background!

Fun with friends:  Celebrating Christmas with a gift exchange plus dinner and shopping at Utica Square with Lindsay's small group ladies... going with the Wilsons and JEM to bring a new mattress as a Christmas gift to the Myer fam... and hosting a birthday party for Laura at my house (that version of the canvas painting made a pretty fun photo background)!  I had a sad case of pink eye that year, which is why I'm not in the bottom two photos. lol

Chet Lee had never seen it, so I hosted a Sound of Music movie night with this delightful group that December!

Our cameras were busy that year... Rach asked if Mom and I could take some pictures for them to use in their family Christmas card, and we were happy to help out!  Just look at this cheery Christmas cuteness! ❤

Two of my favorite pics from that year:  me and Jaceman (age 2) with our antlers on - he looked at this sweet and cheesy pic and said with full confidence, "I look so handsome!!" and I still laugh thinking about that.  Then me holding the Miss K on Christmas Eve - her little fountain ponytail + footie pajamas combo is the very cutest ever!!

LifeChurch was decorating trees in their lobby with a "hope" theme that year, so I helped out by writing these cards for them.  I had attended the amazing Captivating women's retreat in Colorado that October, along with a Beth Moore event and a "prayer ministry" that turned out to be more of a cult, so this quiet and simple artwork was a good project for me at the end of a year where I was really working to recover and rebuild my sense of identity and hope!

Another fun Christmas celebration at Nancy's with Dad's side of the fam, complete with fun photo booth props to encourage people to take more pictures! =)  Hooray for a cousin pic with Kristin + Ashley and Jayme!  And the Miss K looking mildly irritated about her festive lil' hat makes me very happy. lol

Georgia:  "Come on, how often do you get to do this!!?"
Dad:  "Hopefully once every 61 years." lolol

Dad and J on Christmas card picture day... Rachael with T&C before their CHA Christmas program... Jace playing with his favorite gift at our Christmas morning breakfast... and one of my fav very thoughtful and personalized gifts from Rach!! ❤

More photobooth cuteness + Christmas program day fun!

Mmmmmmmiss K with one of Mom's signature festive glittery bows, not looking thrilled about it. ❤❤❤  Then Babah holding her... then Jace being fully delighted by the Jack-in-the-box toy!

Blake, Emily, Grandad, Babah, Rachael, and me.  Our first annual pic of Babah and Grandad with all their grandkids!! ❤

Jace chatting it up with Grandad at Christmas Eve dinner at Pelicans... Carter posing with the giant wreath by Rach... Me and Rach in front of that same wreath... and a four-generations pic of the women in our family! ❤

That's all my festive pics for this 2014 recap.  Hope your weekend is off to a good start!  ...And in case you're a little oblivious like me, Christmas is one week from today!!
