Happy Monday! Here's a quick encouraging word for you... ❤
And a vital reminder to be kind and gentle with ourselves and others, and never to ignore people who are grieving or struggling in this holiday season. In the midst of my worst grief (which naturally causes you to feel more isolated and unseen), it was most hurtful when people who didn't understand my experience pretended it was invalid, refusing to acknowledge my pain or choosing to gossip about it rather than speaking with me. People may not remember your exact words, but they will absolutely remember how you treated them and how you made them feel in their hardest seasons. We can choose to be present without trying to fix it or control their response. And we can choose kindness. IT ALWAYS MATTERS. ❤
And in more lighthearted news, here is Peloton's response ad after the ridic Sex & the City fallout (in an episode titled "And Just Like That," which they throw into the ad). It features Chris Noth (who plays the character who died), Jess King (real Peloton instructor who appeared in that episode), and a classic voiceover by Ryan Reynolds poking fun at the whole thing and encouraging people to exercise and reminding them that this guy did not actually die in real life - the "he's alive" ending line cracks me up! A solid and entertaining marketing move by Peloton... even SoulCycle commented on their Instagram post saying "Well played!" lol
