CHRISTMAS MEMORIES 2020
Merry Christmas Eve!! I really love this group pic from a year ago today! Me and Rach + the niece and nephews + JoBug! Mom took this photo, and Dad must have been outside or something? (Babah's health declined after Grandad's death, so she was living with Virginia, and we went to see her just after Christmas. This was also our first Christmas after Rachael filed for divorce, so the kids did lunch and cookie decorating with us, then dinner with Josh that night. But in spite of the smaller group, it was a good day and we all had fun together!!)
Our seventh and final Christmas as friends. Malori and I became very close once again throughout the craziness of 2020, and we were both really into Peloton and Schitt's Creek. She got me a yoga bolster pillow and blankets + a Schitt's Creek quote mug. I sent her a monogrammed gym towel with her Peloton leaderboard name + a Write the Word journal for 2021. We texted a bit on Christmas Eve Eve about the cute doctor costume "Santa" got for Jasper, and I said I'd love to see a picture. I woke up to a "Merry Christmas!!" text with that pic of the two of them on Christmas morning. There were valid reasons that this friendship needed to end, and it’s a grief that will stick with me. But when I see that picture, all I feel is love for her and her now-growing family. So I'm grateful that my heart is in a better place overall, and I wish them the best moving forward. ❤
Not very many other friend group pics from that particular December, but the pandemic obviously limited our group gatherings that year. I wrote and mailed 36 letters to people who have had a positive impact on my life that December (inspired by me being 36 at the time). It was a great project for my heart, and hopefully they were encouraging to those who received them, as well! (The pic = page 1 of Jaceman's letter.)
T-man joined me on a trip to see the girlfranz, who both look traumatized in that photo, but they were just being spastic! lol ...I baked a layer cake that went very awry, but it led to fun gatherings and a deeper friendship with Tara Shields, so yay for that! ...This was my first year of Peloton, and I was loving every minute of Cody's Festive Fantasy XOXO Christmas ride! lol... Bill and Jill joined me and Mom and Dad for Christmas Eve dinner at The Ranch Steakhouse in OKC - yum, and I always love hanging out with them! I also kinda like that we got some masked pics to emphasize the crazy year that was 2020. ...And that bottom right pic = "A Mockey Little Christmas" part 3, also known as The Wilson fam coming by and getting Los Cabos to-go. lol

Miss K made us all colorbook page gifts as well as original artwork!! ...Jaceman made us all pancakes, (then burned his arm on the griddle in spite of repeated warnings from Mamaw)! ...Rach and K had fun matchy Christmas-theme shirts! ... And Rachael had these awesome personalized cups made for me and Mom and Dad!
Mom and I hosted a slumber party with the niece and nephews! ...I came to the Parrishes to help Rach and Kyndal color in this fun house! ...and I got to hang out with Tate and baby snowman on NY Eve!
