MERRRRRRRY CHRISTMAS, FRIENDS AND FAMILY!! ❤
And thanks to those who have made it all the way through this 12-day recap of Christmases past. And without further ado...
CHRISTMAS MEMORIES 2021
Our family group pic was a little bigger than last year, which makes me happy! We had Christmas Eve lunch at Ted's, then we opened presents and took a few pictures at Babah's new place: The Veraden Senior Living, an assisted living facility. Her room there is really nice, and the community and staff and medical staff seem great, and this place is in a better location for us to come visit, ...plus there was a long hallway right next to her room with a little countertop where we could prop Mom's camera up and set the timer, so yay for all of that!! ;-)
I'm recapping the fun events from this December, starting off strong with an Old School Bagel lunch with the Wilsons + Sarah and Kate on December 1st ... then our "Christmas kick-off" weekend with Kate and Megan and Holly... then hanging out with Laura and Tara and Tara's drive-thru cookies and cocoa event... then a BJ's dinner and pizookies night with Tiffany! Fun times! ❤
Next, we have Chet's "Pictures with Santa" client appreciation event! It was fun times with friends and their cute kids + tasty sugar cookies! =)
Not long after that, Chet and Karli hosted their "Bougie Charcuterie Board and Ugly Christmas Sweater" party! Kelly designed the fancy charcuterie board, and I helped Tate design and build a couch pillow fort! lol (the toppling of which is the top right photo) The main board + salmon and king crab dip + cranberry jalapeno dip were a little too bougie for my tastes, but I was a big fan of the dessert board! lol
Love this pic!! I was one of few who took the ugly Christmas sweater part seriously, but oh well! lol
I hosted my 4th annual "Mockey Little Christmas Party!" Our biggest crowd so far, and it was still just the Moss and Wilson families! =) We had pizza and brownies and ice cream, the kids made makeshift toys out of all my workout stuff (and had fun randomly running up and down my long hallway -- I love how anything can be fun to them at that age!), and we reminisced about old scrapbook pics and they looked through my adoption profile book! All fun!
This group pic makes me happy... Tate decided to hold up Karli's hair in a fun celebration move when I said, "cheeeese!" lolol
"Lindsey and Tiffany's DAY - OF - FUN!!" lol We went to check out The Gathering Place's Winter Wonderland and got some fun pics around the park and with Santa and the Grinch! Then breakfast-for-dinner at Cracker Barrel!
Some of my favorite pics are from our random stop at 41st and Riverside... Tiffany noticed the pretty trees, so I quickly changed lanes and pulled in for a photo op! Yay!!
And that brings us to Christmas Eve Eve, when I had another delightful lunch with the Wilson fam + Sarah and Kate at the Tulsa Hills Ted's! Tate was hiding in our group pic, so I got one of just him. And Kate enjoyed her first tortilla experience, thanks to Uncle Chet's suggestion! lol
Chet: "Hey, bud, sit up - we're gonna get a picture real quick!"
Tate: "Whyyyy!?"
Me: "Because Aunt Lindsey is here!" lol
And that night (the 23rd) was dinner with the fam + Bill and Jill at Bricktown Brewery. Fun times, and a cute dabbing pic to go with J&K's Christmas t-shirts! lol
And that brings us to Christmas Eve lunch at Ted's... a very memorable experience because a girl a couple tables over choked on her food, and her family was yelling for someone to help with the Heimlich maneuver! She was fine in the end, but it was intense... Jace saw her choking and got really scared, and he and JoBug both cried for a minute after all that... then JB bought that family's lunch, and they came and talked to us for a minute. It ended well, and I'm very grateful she was okay! The only pic we took at Ted's was Rach and all the kids together. I was so glad Carter was able to join us for lunch and presents that morning!!
Then we opened gifts (mostly $$) and took a few photos at the Veraden!
It was nice to see Babah's new place and to see all the siblings playing outside together! Rach made the cute Christmas sign that's hanging on her door there. =) Blake was in Arkansas, so it was another grandkids pic of the girls with Babah! And the top left pic is our family pizza and movie night last night (Tman is hiding beside me)! ❤

The mini Miss K using her stool to help mix some whipped cream. I'll miss that very soon when she gets a little taller - it's always so endearing and cute to me to see her grab that and run in to help! The next two pics are her art kit she got from her Dad... she drew and painted that Grinch and Santa on both sides of it - very impressive! ❤ Me and Tman, Jace, and Kyndal spent loads of time playing outside yesterday... swinging, volleyball, four-square, and nuke 'em! Tman and I took a quick trip to get Starbucks drinks + some cake pops for the kids! And we stopped at the AT&T store right next door... that bottom left pic = my Christmas Eve gift to myself, a new light pink iPhone 13 Mini with a glittery case... the smaller size is so fantastic and cute, and I'm already loving the better camera!!
Peloton's Christmas gift to me was also pretty exciting!! ;-) Yaaaas, T-Swift!! How psyched am I for that ride when I get back to Tulsa!?
We had two movie nights with the fam, and after MUCH back-and-forth debate, we decided to watch The Kid and The Beverly Hillbillies. Jace and Kyndal did NOT follow along well, and their questions and quotes became increasingly funny to me! I'll do a Quotables post sometime soon with that, along with some fuller Memory Monday posts on a few of the events above! ❤
A few pics from our Christmas morning breakfast... it was nice to have Tman with us this year for Christmas day!! (They did their Christmas with Brooke on Christmas Eve Eve this time.) I read with the Miss K while Rach and the boys were making pancakes and Mom was making bacon and eggs!
Jace's requested gifts from Rach included an Optimus Prime mask that warps his voice and a beer helmet for his Diet Dr. Pepper and other such drinks! lol
*The t-shirt he's wearing above was a gift from Claire, his "girlfriend" from a military family who has lived in Italy for the past four years.
Dad and I took the kids to see Sing 2 at the MWC Warren Theater... cute and fun, and I'm happy they're getting to an age where we can enjoy theater movies together! Then we had dinner at Mom and Dad's and built some gingerbread houses together tonight. Kyndal and Tman were very focused on perfecting theirs!
❤❤❤
And that's all, folks! You've officially reached the end of my 12 Days of Christmas and my 2021 Christmas season recap!! Sadly, there is no prize. lol
I hope you had a sparkly and wonderful Christmas, and I hope you enjoy the final week of 2021!! If not, then I hope next year brings new hope and better days. I'll end with a powerful line from my favorite Christmas carol...
"Disperse the gloomy clouds of night,
And death's dark shadows, put to flight!
...Make safe the way that leads to Thee,
And close the path to misery.
Rejoice, rejoice!
Immanuel shall come to thee, O Israel!"
❤
